Nico Jungman (1872-1935) was born in Amsterdam and studied art there. He came to London in the 1890s and became a naturalized British subject. He continued to visit Holland frequently however, and painted landscapes, coastal scenes, portraits and genre paintings. He exhibited widely In the London galleries, including the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists. His work is often signed “Nico”.
