Exhibiting from a Dorking address, Charles Collins (died 1921) painted primarily rustic and figure suhjects. He showed over fifty paintings at the Royal Society of British Artists, under such titles as ‘Cattle court the zephyr’s bland, where the streamlet wanders cool’. He remained apart from the realistic and impressionist innovations of a few of his contemporaries, for example Clausen, Lavery and Stanhope Forbes, although his painting ‘Our Village’ does show a sense of light and colour that is apart from the fussy sentimentality of mainstream Victorian genre painting.
Our standard prints are reproduced on a premium semi matt finish paper. Its micro-porous resin coating provides exceptional colour accuracy and stability
Our watercolour board has a natural white finish with a slightly structured, soft-textured surface equivalent to a traditional etching fine art paper. The surface has a special matte coating, designed for high quality fine art reproduction with giclée technology. It is an archival quality paper with great colour accuracy.
