Like his father, Albert Ludovici Snr., Albert Ludovici Jnr (1852-1932) painted genre subjects. His work was most influenced by the paintings of Whistler, who was president of the Royal Society of British Artists while Ludovici was a member, and by the atmosphere of Paris where he lived for much of his life. Even Ludovici’s London scenes have a delicate, Impressionistic style. He exhibited widely in Paris, Geneva and the principal galleries in London.
